Mark Cahill
Today Mark Cahill spoke in our chapel. He brought straight fire, and told amazing stories of how he has been able to witness to people. This man is truely "on-fire" for Christ, by being so passionate about sharing the gospel. His challenge for us was out of Luke 16:19-31 the story of the rich man and lazarus. He made it very clear the importance of sharing the gospel to as many people as possible. Even those in hell and scream for us to share with thier families and friends just as the rich man did.Out of many quotes from his speech this one was very powerful: "In the Christian life we are not enjoying a pleasure cruise to Heaven. We are on a battleship at the gates of Hell trying to keep as many people out of there as possible." That's a very strong statement. I wish all Christians including myself could live it.
His new book is out, and is called "One Heartbeat Away". It's an amazing book not only to encourage you to witness, but it's main purpose if for you to give to a lost friend and let them read it.
If you would like to hear his message you can go onto:

I spoke with mark after the service. we started talkin about his last book and michael jordan. He encouraged me to pray for jordan very often and told some stories about his sharing with jordan and some friends of his experiences trying to share with him.
i know what your talking about brandon. God used his last book, "The One Thing you Can't do in Heaven" to radically change my witnessing. If you havn't read it you definatley should. After I was half way through it I actually wrote a blog on it..(and no im not just trying to get blog views haha) i think its the last post you can see on my page. he is one of the most passionate evangelists i have ever encountered. hes gonna be at the gburg retreat this year too! cant wait!
